Hair loss in children may be different from hair loss in adults. Androgenic alopecia, that is a common cause of hair loss in adults, does not affect the hairs of children.
The most possible reasons for hair loss in children are:
Improper diet:
In the process of physical and psychological development, children need proper nutrition. Therefore, nutrient-rich diet is necessary for the children because of the development of all the parts of the body. Usually, if the children do not have sufficient diet, hair loss may occur as a symptom.
Alopecia areata:
Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system of the body attacks the hair follicles without any known reason. This problem is also called patchy hair loss because bald patches occur on the scalp in different sizes. Sometimes two patches merge to form a larger bald patche.
There is no cure of alopecia areata. In many cases, bald patches start to grow hairs automatically after some time. however, doctors may prescribe medicines that stop the immune system from attacking its own body.

An infection caused by bacteria or fungus is responsible for hair loss in children. Ringworm causes red, ring -shaped rashes on the scalp. The scientific term used to this disease is tinea captis.
The scalp in this problem is usually itchy and you can observe this by looking at the activities of your children. He repeatedly rubs his hand against the scalp. This problem takes place in one or multiple locations on the scalp.
